John M. Miller co-founded ETAN in 1991. He is currently ETAN's National Coordinator and has been on its staff since late 1996. He, along with ETAN, received the John Rumbiak Human Rights Defenders Award for 2009. He oversees ETAN's news listservs on Timor-Leste, Indonesia and West Papua. In 2003 when he accepted the Orden de Timor on behalf of ETAN.
